I was not aware they were interested in him, but it would be because Sacramento now has Darren Collison which puts Isaiah in a position to more than likely be let go. Detroit would make him a backup to Jennings. I'm just assuming.

While he would make for some more veteran leadership, keep in mind he's in his late 30's and is not the same player he once was and let's not forget about injuries. The Spurs don't have much cap left as well.
