It's not weird - but, I'd wait until he says something to you. Do you at least know of each other? If not, and you're going to initiate, say more than just "hey." One word messages leaves the door open for an awkward conversation. What if he replies with just "hi," then what do you say? Lol. Let me know what happens!

could count them on my two hands! they're the people who have been there since literally middle school/high school, and the ones I can go without talking to for a few weeks and it'll be as if we just spoke yesterday. they know who they are, and I love them like family!

I repeated a lot of the same mistakes and prioritized some of the wrong things. Word of advice, don't wait to learn the hard way and have your priorities straight.

Everyone should take advantage of the internet/social media. Those two things helped my career more than I would have ever imagined [internships, networking, a platform, etc.] As for editing - I don't edit my interviews, but when I used to I preferred Final Cut Pro.
