Hello! Can there be some arrangements made to the timetable in sem 2 so that we end a little earlier on cca days? such that some ccas don't have to start and end at extremely late timings(eg. the symphonic band which has cca on thurs from 5.30-8.30!)

Does EJC have a Career Guidance Dept like some other JCs do, with counsellors to advise students on career opportunities, local/overseas Uni applications/admissions, scholarship applications etc?

Yes, we do! Mrs Brigitte Koh leads a team of teachers who oversee uni admissions and scholarship applications. Perhaps you can write to her if you have anything in mind.
There will be a Careers, Scholarships and Higher Ed (CSH) Day in Term 3, after your Mid-Years - the team will definitely take you through the various processes from that point on or get us all thinking about the road ahead :)

do performing arts cca have any prerequisites?

Hello, thanks for your question! There are no *official* prerequisites determined by the college.
The respective CCAs hold auditions for those interested. We know several students who have picked up new instruments or are new to the performing arts. We believe in being as inclusive as possible while never depriving the deserving of a place. It's a difficult balance to strike for sure, so we encourage you to try and for all CCAs to seek passion *and* talent at the same time 😃

Hello! The Promos are in Term 4 Weeks 3-4. As for CCA arrangements, that is something you will have to discuss with your peers, teachers, and coaches/instructors.

Thanks for the input! We did want to make that happen but we were informed that the structure wouldn't be able to support it. We are looking into ways to make the hall more conducive so we ask for your patience in the meeeeeantiiiiime! I think we're melting too

Can the school to provide the racket CCAs (e.g Badminton, Tennis) and even stick CCAs (Hockey, Floorball) with locked equipment storage options? Most of the student athletes don't play their sports outside of school, and it would help tons if we could leave our eqpment in school safely!

Not the one who suggested placing more chairs but -- I believe places that alr have benches (esp lvl 3 outside the library & the atria & the spaces outside LTs) can be packed with even more benches to fully utilise the space. They are often occupied. Thanks!
