Important information, but the timing of publication is terrible. Could you please consider releasing this data sometime other than on the eve of high stakes state testing?

Thanks for your feedback; that is certainly something to consider. The rankings are typically released at this time in the spring because this is the earliest we can provide them after new TEA data becomes available each year, and we want the data to be as timely as possible.

Which year of TEA data did you use for the particular categories. Some of these schools on the list are no longer around or called something else. Just curious to see what school years were used in determining the information. Also, do you have a place where we can find last year's results?

All of the data is from the 2011-2012 school year, which is the latest available from TEA. You are correct that there are campuses in the rankings that have been closed or consolidated since then. Last year's results can be found on our website here: http://childrenatrisk.org/school-rankings-2012.
