What is the most effective way, in your opinion, to achieve maturity? Is maturity necessary to live a successfull life?
Maturity is all about trying things out, stepping out of your comfort zone, making mistakes and learning from them, knowing when to be independent and when to ask for help; and plenty other things the description of which is beyond my ability.
And to acquire this sense of self control and inner peace at a young age is through reading.
Reading gives you all the experiences that you could possibly fall into during your life as an adult, especially novels. They put you in the character's shoes where you find yourself in situations you might never end up in for real, and in turn, grant you the wisdom of the emotional and psychological impact they left all whilst you're still a kid cuddled up with a book on your couch.
And of course, as a matter of fact, it serves as a very important factor in one's success in life due to its ability to navigate your mind into picking the right choices and not falling into the aftermath of false decisions.
