Have you thought about making an Ask.FM simulator? If so, can you design it so that Virtual Armin enjoys goat puns and giving away free steam keys?

haha, in a world where virtual Armin enjoys goat puns you won't get steam games with steam keys, you'll get them by putting a slice of cheese in your CD-drive

You are the publisher of A Story About My Uncle. What does a publisher do? How involved were you with the game?

When we met the team behind A Story About My Uncle, we realised that they were in the exact same position Coffee Stain was in just 4-5 years ago. They had a super motivated team, an almost-finished product, and they just needed help to wrap things up, and then get their game out on Steam.
So what we did was basically help them get up on Steam, help them with marketing, PR, and lending our industry knowledge to them since they had never released a game before. We also borrowed them one of our animators since they couldn't afford to hire one, and we helped them out with optimization and general game development tips/mentoring (we both use Unreal Engine, and we have a lot of previous knowledge of UE3). We also borrowed them money for advertising/marketing/expos, which was later paid back through recoup after the game was released.

not every time someone says goat, but I have heard every single goat pun in the world so they do get old after a while

Will you be working on a more comfortable way to play coop? I don't mean (real) MMO but the splitscreen option for now is nice but hell laggy.

we don't have any more plans for coop, online multiplayer isn't possible and there's not much else we can do with the splitscreen

TotalBiscuit made a somewhat negative video about Goat Simulator. Did you ever consider filing a Youtube copyright claim to remove his video?

Hahahahah no, and fuck the people that would even consider doing something like that. It's perfectly okay not to like our game. I mean, I wish everyone loved everything we did, but sadly that's not how the world works. Youtubers rely on the videos they make to pay their rent and food, and even if some reviews are bad they still deserve to exist. It's not okay to try and bankrupt someone because they state an opinion you don't like.
However if I'm ever close to The Guardian's headquarters, I swear I will shit in a bag and hide it somewhere for that 2/10 review they gave us on release

LIKE YOU WOULDNT BELIEVE! Every time someone sees a funny picture of a goat on the internet, they fucking send it to me. I've seen every single picture of goats in the universe, every funny youtube video, and when there's a new goat meme somewhere, about 20 people send it to me at the same time. I'm slowly going insane

Hahaha actually, I smile a lot normally, I just like to look like an idiot in pictures, especially when fans take pictures with me. My favorite face right now is when I blankly stare somewhere, but that might change in the future

Do you use Goat Simulator as a "training ground" for new (and experienced) programmers and designers at Coffee Stain? Do you experiment with features you are (more or less) likely to add in future projects?

Once we started developing Goat Simulator during a gamejam, we did use it to try out new things and get practice, but now when we have over a million customers we quality check way more. That still doesn't mean that we don't do new and crazy things (just look at the MMO Simulation expansion), but if we want to educate new employees we'd rather do a new gamejam so that there isn't as much pressure and so that we can afford to make mistakes.
