Because a spoonful of sugar makes the world go round.
What's the most use emotions you have...?
Fulfilled, grateful and the most cliche of all: blessed for the past couple of months.
Have you ever been stalked by someone?
You pls.
Which celebrity do you think is the most down to earth?
Hard to say because I hardly interact with celebrities during my course of work since I do current affairs. However my friend, Hazelle Teo of 933FM, is one of the most down to earth and sincere DJs I’ve met!
What’s a topic you try to stay away from?
Math, financials and numbers. I can never get these numbers cracking.
What's something you shouldn't eat before going to bed?
I can’t do any caffeine at all sadly.
How many apps you have in your phone?
Too many! I’ll share some of my favourite apps that I use: Video editing: Video Leap Photo editing: Snapseed Social media: Dayre Music: Spotify Utilities: CamScanner, DocuSign Cloud Storage: Google Drive
When was the last time you had a really good laugh? What were you laughing about?
This is tough - I don’t really know! My fellow lunchmates and I have good laughs at lunch everyday.
What do you hate to be called?
This is a very common mistake i get as each of my name is a last name. In Asian context - we go last name first name but at work, we adopt a first name last name and my poor name always get mangled. Asian context: LSY American: SYL So people call me: YL when I am supposed to be SY. Okay enough.
Favourite book?
This is a tough question. I don’t think I have an absolute favorite book. I have this poignant memory of a book that made me cry instantly: The Survival Kit by Donna Freitas.
How often do you change your cellphone??
Not often enough.
Do u know how often nus dance clubs practice? :) like dance blast, synergy and ensemble hehe
Blast has a Wednesday evening class and Saturday morning class. Ensemble used to have a only one Saturday class (used to be Sat 3-6pm). I think Synergy uses the two class a week model too if I’m not wrong. As with all performing arts clubs, if you are involved in performances / competitions, the intensity increases naturally. I’d also think that if your attendance falls, your performance opportunities also decrease because you need to be fair to all club members. If you are committed = you get the benefits. The most accurate answer is to email the clubs to check. It’s been a while since I am active in these clubs as an undergrad.
hi~! saw your review of kfit & guavapass... i came across this other app "MindBody"... but it doesnt seem to have monthly subscriptions... which would be better?
Mind Body is not a fitness subscription. It is a scheduling tool that studios use for their students to book classes.
Hi, I have a ukele at home and same as you, I have problem finding a community to join. Can I have more info (when is the gathering) about the ukelele you joining ?
Thank you!
Sorry can't be of much help here. I used to go jam with the Moulmein Ukes but they have moved and I am not in contact with them anymore. I recall Tampines and Bishan CC may have Uke interest groups, perhaps you can try calling the CC to check.
Hi, do you know what are the chances of a successful appeal to a different RC in NUS? I applied for CAPT but was offered an interview by RVRC instead - killing me because I really want CAPT sigh.
No idea, best to pick up the phone to call yourself

Are there nus events that students can sign up to try things like marketing and comms?
I am sure there are multiple student committees that you can join to take on those roles.
are comms jobs generally well paid?
Well I think it's very subjective and also up to each individual's expectations. There are also multiple branches of Comms jobs - ranging from agency, inhouse to even news.
