One thing I've learned about relationships is that you can never control a person's emotions. If he is sad, let him. What you can do is comfort him and assure him that no matter how bad his situation is right now, you will always be there for him. Assurance that he's not alone is what he needs. Don't ask him to speak up, just simply let him know that you're there. It's important to make him feel that you'll still stick around even at his lowest point.

Why do you prefer to live in the city?
Because I've fallen in love with the city. I've fallen in love with the transition it shows me, how the streets are busy in the morning and how it slowly quiets down at night. I've fallen in love with the idea that it brings danger, but how I still manage to feel safe in the arms of the people I love. I've fallen in love with the thought of seeing different kinds of people in my favorite coffee shop, and I wonder how sweet their coffee tastes like or how much they struggled to get out of bed that morning. I've fallen in love with the mystery, the confusion, and the urge to figure out this place we call a concrete jungle. Oh yes, I've fallen in love with every bit of it.

Which was your most memorable birthday?
Prolly my 18th birthday :) We were watching the dlsu vs admu game at our sports complex when in the middle of the game my blockmates had this "dalandan" pick up line then they sang happy birthday while the guys in my block + 2 people I don't know gave me 18 origami paper roses ❤️
