Why is Mr. Crabs a crab and Pearl is a whale?
Alright here's how it went.. Mr. Krabs was in college at the time when he met a beautiful whale named Emerald (her name was Emerald because that was her birth month's stone). They shared an Economics class and sat adjacent to each other. As the year went on, they began to talk more and more. For a while the conversation stayed on the aubject of the class, but time ticked on and they began talking about themselves and their dreams. They were friends. They went out for coffee and ate lunch together every Wednesday. They studied for tests together. They walked the campus making conversation all the way. Mr. Krabs w as in love. Obviously, at this point, they were becoming closer and more intimate, but not physically intimate but mentally. By this time, school had finished, they had passed their class, and they had graduated and earned their majors in Business. Unfortunately, Mr. Krabs got all tied up in the Krusty Krab and drifted from her. They hadn't spoke for almost a decade when he received a terrifying phone call. Emerald had cancer and was dying. He rushed to the hospital and shoved through people, screaming and demanding he see her immediately. They led him to her room, and as he walked in tears were on the brink of crashing like a dam finally giving out. He held them in for her so she would not have to see such sadness while she was already so weak. She srained to look at him and he rushed to her side. Holding his hand, Emerald began to speak. She whispered with all the strength she could muster up, "Eugene.. I only want one thing. Please raise my daughter Pearl.. Raise her to be a lady. Love her as you loved me. Keep her safe, Eugene. For me. I have always loved you..." Immediately after her c onfessing her love, the machines flat lined. She was gone. But as for Mr. Krabs, she would live on through her daughter. And he would treat her like a queen. So he left, picked Pearl up, the baby that she was at the time, and became her legal guardian - proudly.
