Did you bought the album from pianeet ? It's just too awesome ... I really hope he would be more active , but anyway he's really great. Anyway I hope you will reach the 100k subscribers at the end of the year :) Keep the good work !

I DID! I looooove his interpretation of Beethoven's last sonata. Fastest fucking trills ever.

So, I'm 18 and play the cello. If I work at it how well do you think I'll be able to pick up the piano? Really I just want to be able to play classical music as well as your transcriptions. How hard do you think I'll have to work to be at that level of playing?

The better way of thinking about learning a new instrument, is for how long will you spend with that instrument? Since for me, I have decided that I want to play piano until I die of old age.
If you think about it that way, you will be able to reach my level (or any other level) in no time because of the perspective of looking beyond~

Though you've probably been asked this a thousand times but what's your favourite anime and why? Mines either Mirai Nikki or Black butler the manga is also very awesome :3

My favorite would be Clannad After Story because of how much it can influence and change one's outlook on life. I think the best anime are the ones that can open new perspectives.

I've been following your Youtube account for about 2 years now, and I always sit there with your new videos wondering "How do you even create these arrangements". I want to start playing songs by ear too, and I wonder how do you figure out the melody and create your "left hand" chords?

A lot of ideas just come immediately from inspiration to listening to other songs and classical pieces. I can't really explain how they're thought up.
Have you just sat down and try brainstorming? Incorporating classical details into an arrangement can also be a good idea.

You said you wanted to inspire. "Then never lose sight of your goal." - LD

Some get blinded, hopefully I wont be~

Cover some touhou songs!! or the call your name (piano ver.) that i heard during SnK ep 22 when ___ was looking at ___'s body. i always wanted to play call your name D: and just a lil' thank you for inspiring to pick up piano again after the concert in Singapore! :D

I'm not taking requests at the moment, sorry! Though I do agree Touhou songs are magnificent.

Do you have a animelist? how many anime do you watched? what anime do you think is the most awesome of all? GG with your work keep doing it PD: Waiting Shissou of Ouran Host Club Goddamn :P

I do have a MAL, but I haven't updated it in a while. I really should one of these days...
I think Clannad After Story is a masterpiece.

does your family (or your friends) know that you are an Anime Pianist? If so, how many and what do they think of it?

My family knows, my friends not really that much.

How long do you need to make a new transcription?

Sometimes a day, sometimes a week. It usually depends on the difficulty of my transcription as well as my motivation to do a transcription.

Hey there ishter, im from philippines you said your a half filipino. If that so do you understand Tagalog? if yes please answer my question. Gusto ko lang sana malaman kung pano ka ba nag simula sa pag papiano mo? Gusto ko ren kase matuto mag piano just like what you did, because you inspired me ^_^

I'm full Filipino actually. I understand Tagalog and I speak it fluently.
Hmm, I started by just simply learning classical music by myself. It's very much difficult work, so I'd recommend you to get a teacher! Masmadali pa pag may teacher :D

Which Animenz transcription is your favorite?

Not a transcription, but my absolute favorite is his "WORLD END" improvisation. It really has that passion that I really love, so I tend to improvise it like he plays it.

Do you often play Animenz's transcriptions?

I tend to "improvise" Animenz's arrangements, if that makes sense.
I play his transcriptions mostly by ear because I'm not too fond of reading sheet music. His Code Geass "WORLD END" improvisation is what I always play because it's really good.

I liked your piano transcriptions so much. You inspired me to become a anime pianist as well :) Question: Do like Vocaloid music? And could you play and transcript one song? Please! (Maybe The Song "Black Rock Shooter", because that became an anime... and you are "anime-pianist"...).

I like only some Vocaloid music, not all. Here's my list at the top of my head:
-Servant of Evil (Classical version)
-World is Mine
-The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku ;__;

Will you (or Animenz-sensei) make something like a beginner's guide to Anime transcription? or rather, please make one. I will buy it no matter where it's being sold~... Anyway, good luck reaching your goal!. Greetings from South Korea~

For me, not in the foreseeable future but certainly if I get more popularity and it's financially viable to publish a guide without going broke lol.
I think that's a magnificent idea though~

Which anime has the best soundtracks in your opinion?

Hmm, very hard to choose. Though the latest anime that has the best soundtrack (subjectively speaking of course) is Gatchaman Crowds OST. Iwasaki Taku is a genius.

Hey, I have few questiions.. 1. How many years have you played piano? 2. How old are you? And are you in university right now? 3. How long do you usually play piano everyday? Thank you

1.) I've been playing for 9 years now
2.) 22 years old
3.) I probably play about 2 hours a day (mainly because I'm preparing a lot of things for next year)

So Animenz-sensei's goal is to make a transcription that is on par with classical music and Ishter-sensei's goal is to give inspiration to others. I think, as different they are, they are similar in many ways too... I think that you two will play important roles raising up future Anime Pianist(s)!

That's the ultimate goal!
