To die in peace, probably. Or to remember who I am, at least.

I will still write. Having all the money in the world will not really change my passion for writing.

Obviously not.

Still: that I wrote my first novel when I was 24. It was a magical year.

Truly genuine people.
What are the things that you find attractive?
Someone who understands the complexities of silence and space, and does not complicate them further.
What's one thing you can never give away?
I can give away anything for the right reasons.
What haven't you accomplished in your life?
Maraming-marami pa. Marami pang librong kailangang basahin. Marami pang gustong isulat.

Where is your hiding place?
I mostly want to be by myself, but I don’t necessarily hide from people. Or: I usually find myself lost in a sea of people. I hide in the crowd.
What is the thing you regret the most?
Not having Inay see me graduate and have my own books published. She would have been very happy and proud.
What are you gonna do when the world don't orbit around you?
I write precisely because I don’t think the world revolves around me.

Aside from being a writer, what other profession you think you would fit in?
Well, I am technically a teacher by profession.
How do we let go of things/people we held close?
Don’t let go, if you want your hands to be a museum of dead beloved memories.
How do we forget the people who had already forgotten us?
You can’t, unless you focus on something more productive than thinking about other people.
What are your plans for Valentine's Day?
I will be in Cagayan de Oro on Valentine’s Day for a lecture. So there.

Umiibig pa rin hanggang ngayon.
