Dear Misty, I was once a performer in the UK, and I have wondered how you American queens get paid..As in the bar you work at do you get a nominal fee and then obviously your tips. Because in the UK tips is something a waiter would get!!! Thanx love, loving you is easier..X

HELP!!! I am in an amateur drag contest Saturday the 14. I am thinking about preforming “it's my life” by Bon Jovi. Do think that is a good song? I am scared because it is a guy song and it is a rock song and I know that drag queens don't normally preform rock songs. HELP!!!!!
I THINK that you can teach makeup - you can teach hair etc.... but you cannot teach stage presence
if you have stage presence you can do any song you want - as long as you believe the song - and portray the message from the inside - it will come across to the audience

I agree not wanting to die for beauty - the problem is you can only pump in the 7 layers of skin (so it can build scar tissue around it to never move)
and sooo many wanna be pumpers just inject it into your body anywhere and thats very dangerous

I'm a beginner in drag and I'm still trying to learn the makeup basics. What product do you recommend contouring and shadowing with?
anything that blends and is dark - powder - shadow - bronzer etc

I say START Taking all the classes that will help you in drag - Sewing - Computers - Graphics - Web Design - Debate Class - or anything with public speaking - I learned makeup from the Drama program etc.... and once you graduate - get out of the house you will have all the skills needed to whip it into shape and you can start to stock pile your make up in your dorm room

I'm confused if you want to be fishy don't you want to look real and therefore wouldn't you want a name that sounds like it could be a real name. I have never met a girl whos name's fish - i like it but to me it sounds more campy. Also when picking a stage name I think something that people can relate to is much better - like tuna fish surprise as in guess what I'm not tuna after all

Hey Misty! On the cruise, if we see the queens out of drag on the ship, should we call them by their drag names? For example, if I see Jinkx Monsoon out of drag, should I call him Jerick?
Yes 99% people in my life call me my drag name no matter what I look like. it's if you call somebody there boy name when they're in drag is when the get upset. But more importantly if your stage performer and everybody knows your stage name why would you be offended if people call you that name

I'm considering becoming a once-in-a-while drag queen, but my boy self has some fabulous long hair which could totally be styled to look the part. I know you love your wigs, but is it feasible to not use one, or is that a complete no-no/not possible to achieve the drag look with real hair?
Sure if you want to look like you're going to the mall But not if you want to look like you're going on the stage I. also have long hair but I think if you want to look stage ready you would incorporate your real hair around the wig. It's really hard to have big sexy hair with your real hair.
