a nice blush that goes with nc35 skintone?oh and I love your videos, your eyebrows are the world ♥__♥! can you maybe do a 50 facts about me tag? I'd love to know you better you seem like an amazing person! xo

Aweee thank you! :) I definitely can do that I think it'd be fun! But as for blush try out some peachy blushes. I really like MAC "Melba" on my aunt, who is also an NC35.

Can you post a video on how you do you hair ? Like curling it

Sure! If you're interested in finding out right now on how I curl it you can look at my Instagram from a few months back and find a video I did on how I curl it. I will also make a tutorial for YouTube as well!

How do you curl your hair ??

I use a regular curling iron :) I forget the brand at the moment, but its something similar to Hot Tools (it might even be from Hot Tools lol), but the size of the barrel I use is 1 1/4 inch. when I curl it I just grab about an inch thick piece of hair, I dont really section it off, and I start from the root of the hair section, and spin the curling iron so that the hair gets wrapped around the curling iron. Most people start with the end of the hair then start twisting it up, I go the opposite way. It puts less heat on the ends ans gives it more volume! When I'm done curling all of my hair a spray a tiny bit of Not Your Mothers sea salt spray (from Target) and crunch the curls. Then I take a little bit of Not Your Mothers curl defining cream and crunch that in my hair as well. If you go to my Instagram I have a quick little video you can watch from a few month back :) its @genamourr on instagram

So I was looking at the eyeshadow bases from sigma. How did you decide which one to buy? I am a beginner doing makeup. Which color would you recommend for someone just starting out.

I chose the one closest too my skin tone. Persuade is the one that I use. Its a very plain, basic matte color. Definitely dont pick anything sparkly or shimmery just stick to something basic and matte if you can. I believe there are a few nude colors to choose from. :)

What kind of eye shadow would you recommend with a old rose colored prom dress? And how can I get the most durable make up base for prom? :)

Ooooh that sounds like a gorgeous prom dress! ♥ I highly recommend wearing a champagne colored eyeshadow on your lid, something preferably shiny and/or shimmery! In the crease you could do a reddish brown (something light not too dark, like MAC Brown Script blended lightly in the crease with a blending brush) or just a regular tan eyeshadow blended into the crease! I have never tried it before, but I hear NYX eyeshadow primer is great if you're looking for something inexpensive, other than that I looooove Sigma Eyeshadow Base. They are so creamy and dont make my eyelids feel tight, but my eyeshadow lasts all day long! I love it. I believe that primer is the most important so I am always willing to pay the price for it. I believe the Sigma Eyeshadow Base is between $11-15, I can't remember the exact price at the moment. I will be doing prom makeup tutorials starting late February! :)

Aweee thanks so much! That was very nice :) I hope I continue to excite you with my videos! ♥

So I saw that you said in one of your videos in the summer you use bb cream or tinted moisturizers and I was wondering which ones do you recommend. I kinda want one for the winter for when I want light coverage. I would say I have dry to normal skin .

I have a whole list of bb creams and tinted moisturizers I love! lol I have the same skin type, normal in summer and normal/dry in winter. I love Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream (suuuuuper light coverage, but smells amazing!) L'Oréal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream (evened my skin tone very nicely, still light coverage. sometimes a smidge too dark for my very fair skin) Rimmel London BB Cream (felt more like a suuuper moisturizing foundation, but still light coverage. I dont recommend for fair skin) and lastly would be Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer (if you have very dry skin, this will leave you very moisturized with a flawless face. Only downside when I used it is it left me shiny in the summer when I had normal skin. I couldn't wear any moisturizer with it, and touch up powder about 2-3 times a day)

I have oily skin whats the best primer to use?? And how can I do my foundation to give it that airbrush look not making it look caked or unnatural? I could use your help!

For primer you can never go wrong with Smashbox Photo Finish Primer. It is kinda pricy, but soooo worth it! Try to get a sample from Sephora or something to see if you really like it. Also, you can never go wrong with MAC Prep & Prime. MAC makeup is usually full coverage, so most of their makeup is for people with oily skin, so their primer works wonders for oily skin. At MAC you can buy something and if you dont like it you can return it within 30 days for your money back. (keep your receipt! ) :p As for an airbrush finish, I alwaaaays resort to a blending sponge. Beauty Blender mostly, but I've gotten the Makeup Mae blending sponge and it was just as good! Even on ebay I bought like a $3 sponge and it worked really good lol "Dont use the Sonia kashuk one from Target. It sucks!!) If you don't like blending sponges, use a stippling brush. I personally like the Real Techniques Stippling Brush, and I use it on my clients! To use a blending sponge, first get it damp. Then dot your foundation all over your face using your finger. Then bounce the blending sponge all over your face. Sponges can create light to full coverage effects! I love them. For a stippling brush just move the brush around your face in a small circular motion, keeping the brush flat on your face. it takes longer than a sponge, but also works great! Right now I can't use a stippling brush kos my skin is dry so it gets flaky easily, and the bristles cause it to flake, but with your skin type a stippling brush will be perfectly fine! Hope that helped :D

I have really bad black cirlces, what are some drugstore products to use?

I reeeeeally love the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer! The "Brightening" one. Its a tube with a dome sponge tip, and also a pink concealer. it brightens under the eyes to hide dark circles (I use it kos I'm right there with ya! sometimes my dark circles are soooo bad but this concealer is a lifesaver) Anyway, after using this brightening concealer I use a concealer that is my skin tone. I have a concealer video on my youtube channel :) www.youtube.com/genamourr

Have you ever gotten a Keloid on your nose piercing? If so, how did you cure it?

I never got one on my nose, but I did get one on my belly button! I actually went to the piercing shop called Zebra where they sell this stuff called "Emu Oil" (I think thats how its spelled? And it cured it in a week! I also held a cup of warm sea salt water on my belly button for 15 minutes, once a day. That helps get rid of bacteria. Try searching for emu oil online and I'm sure you can find some! It was a lifesavor kos the keloid on my belly button was huge! lol

So im the girl with the question about the primer. I would say my skin type is dry. I don't get oily right now because of the cold. In the summer I do get oily but mostly in the t-zone my skin stay on the dry to normal side mostly.

I have dry skin so I can help you a ton with this! So first, you should definitely be using a moisturizer before you apply anything. I use MAC moisturizer. Having your skin moisturized and hydrated will help with makeup looking better on the skin. After moisturizing apply an under eye cream, one that is very absorbant so that your concealer stays smooth under the eye. Then use a primer. The primer I am absolutely LOVING right now is actually from Rimmel London! Only $6! It the Fix & Perfect primer (blue cap). I love it because it is suuuuper moisturizing without causing oiliness. My foundation lasts all day, and my skin looks super smooth wherever I have bumpy pores! Its an awesome primer.

My contour always looks unnatural, can you help me? What is a good cheap brush and product for contouring.

Honestly, face brushes are pretty important to me so the cheapest ones I use are from Sigma. They are $12-24, but so worth it because you get the best blending! I use the Small Contour F05 brush from Sigma. Also, for contouring use a powder! To me its much more natural. To choose the best powder pick a shade that is 2-3 shades darker than your skin tone, and by shade I mean a regular face powder, nothing special. I love using L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Powder for my contour :) Its cheap, and definitely blendable! lol

how much do you charge for doing makeup?

At the salon I work at its $40 for full face, and freelancing its $30 an hour.

How much do you charge to get your makeup done ?

Depends. At the salon it is $40 for full face, for freelancing (I drive to you) its $30 and hour. :)

Do you like the dream lumi concealer or the instant age rewind concealer from maybelline better for dark circles ?

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind blow the Dream Lumi outta the water for sure! It has a better coverage to me. Feels smoother, and doesn't look cakey.

What's a good primer for foundation. Idk where to even start to look. Is there a good drug store primer that works as well as a high end brand. I'm so lost plz point me in the right direction.

First lets start with your skin type. Are you oily or dry? if you have dry skin, use a silicone based primer. It will make your skin feek very smooth. Silicone based primer tend to look fluffy and give a smoothing effect. If you have oily skin, stay away from silicone based primers because theh will make your foundation slide off your face. For oily skin use a gel based primer, anything that looks almost like a gel is perfect. I've found at times that gel based primers on my dry skin have worked good because I use a moisturizer before primer, so if you find a primer you really like that isn't silicone based and you have dry skin, it should be fine. Just stay away from silicones if you have oily skin. Anyway, let me know what your skin type is, and I can point you in the right direction! There are a few drug store primers I like, I can share all the info with you once I know your skin type :D

I love your videos and the quality of your pictures on instagram, what editing do you use to do the pic collages and what camera do you use as well? Thank you!

I have a Galaxy Note 2 :) And for my camera I have a reaaalllllly old camera. I have no idea what it is lol It surprisingly works good. I'm saving up for an expensive one! :) My videos will get better trust me! but thank you so much I try as best I can with the equipment I have.

what would you recommend to use in order to get rid of acne ??

I'd say to keep your skin as clear as possible and get rid of current acne, it's a whole routine to keep in mind. Wash your face in the morning and at night with a oil-free fash wash that contains salicylic acid. After washing your face, use a toner. A toner gets rid of excess oil that causes acne, tightens pores, and controls the oil on your skin for the entire day. If your skin is dry, only use a toner once a day in the morning after you wash your face (usually acne is caused by oil though, so dry skin may not apply to you). After using a toner, you may moisturize your face, but make sure your moisturizer is oil free (possibly a moisturizer that is for oily skin or acne prone skin. I like Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturizer). After moisturizing, use your foundation primer, making sure it is a gel based primer, not silicone based. Gel based will hold your foundation in place rather than make it slip around like a silicone based primer. Then use a foundation that is oil free and mattifying (this wont clog your pores, causing acne). Once you are ready to take off your makeup at the end of the day (ALWAYS remove your makeup properly), gently remove your makeup with an oil free, non-comedogenic makeup remover. After removing your makeup, be sure to wash your face, then apply toner, as mentioned above. These steps will help control acne, and lessen outbreaks. To get rid of pesky pimples, use homemade face masks! My favorite method because kitchen ingredients are not harsh on your skin, and do you wonders. Honey, apple cider vinegar, coffee, lemon, etc. Also, if you're going to pop a pimple (never recommended but no one can help it lol) wash your habd thoroughly, and the pimple, then pop it, wash it again, and apply toner. This way you wont push anymore dirt inside.

what kinds of cover up is good for oily skin ?

Revlon ColorStay for Combo/Oily skin works great!! Make sure to use a gel based primer, and not a silicone based primer so that your foundation doesn't slide around your face. Use some type of gel based primer for oily skin and that helps a lot. If you would like to choose another foundation, anything that says "matte" on it will do the job. Most brands will have some type of mattifying foundation, but it definitely all starts with the primer so make sure to get a gel based mattifying primer :)

So I was watching your how to conceal dark circles and I was wondering if the maybelline radiant would work for me. I'm a nc25 on mac mineralize foundation. And for concealer they gave me nw25. But I want to brighten that area like you.

Yes it will work for you :) I am usually an NC30, which is shade darker than your color. Right now I'm NC20, and I still use it :) I've actually been using Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser for Dark Circles, in the color "Brightener", works so much better!

What's a good inexpensive foundation brush?

I really love the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush :) or the Stippling Brush from Real Techniques is awesome too! Only $10 each on their website (unless they raised their prices recently for some reason)

That skin finish from Mac how do you apply it. I have the same one but in a different color and I've always wonder if I've been using it right

Its a highlighter, so apply it to the highest points of your cheekbones. You can use a highlighting brush, or for a subtle highlight you can use your ring finger and tap it across. For the one I have I use my ring finger :)

Could you possibly do a eyeliner tutorial?(:

I actually need to do that! haha my next video is going to be about concealer, but after that I will do eyeliner for sure :)
