Then I saw your acc from Ophelia's page recently, checked your acc bc I thought, "Wow, this girl is pretty brave," and had a mini heart attack when I saw your pictures (with your sister, and the book). My reaction was, "Oh my God, so she studies in Sutomo? But I've never seen her!" So yeah. Why am I storytelling? And I sound like a creep sobs.

how long do you think it takes to learn a language? what is one foreign language that you're able to speak now and how long did it take you to learn it?

But if you're talking about the basics, then it depends. Every language is different, so the difficulty varies, too.
I know how to speak and write both English and Chinese/Mandarin. Picked up English since I was still a baby, as for Chinese- probably since primary school. I haven't mastered both languages, so, there's still a lot to learn.

1. I don't really swear, I say "crap", "damn", and "bxtch" a lot tho. Yes, I acknowledge the fact that "bxtch" is a derogatory swear word and that I know I should really quit the habit of saying the word (as much as I love the word :'))

3. Books/magazines. Especially the new ones. Just beautiful. And also, garlic (especially when heated in the frying pan gosh), jasmine, and that somehow humid but comforting smell of an air-conned closed room (idk how to explain it).

Do you think all people are equally valuable, or do you think some people in certain situations might be more valuable than others (say, a severely retarded patient vs. a doctor who could potentially save hundreds of lives)?
I believe that everyone is as valuable as everyone else when they were born.
But then they go through life, and life shapes them and they become a person as a whole. How they treat people, how they live their life is different.
So how valuable they are is different for each person. A might not like B, so A labels B as someone not valuable. But B might've helped C once, so C sees B as someone valuable.
Personally, I don't label people that way. I'm assuming what you mean here is how worthy someone is in your life. And I'm grateful for everyone I have in my life. They shape me. So they are as priceless in my eyes. But if say, you stage a scenario where I have to choose some people to stay in or get away from my life, we're talking about priorities and that's a whole other story.
But then they go through life, and life shapes them and they become a person as a whole. How they treat people, how they live their life is different.

I can't stress the importance of watching lots of movies enough. Nobody can.
You might be tired of hearing this, but watch lots of movies. They really help. When you listen to sth a lot, your ears would get used to it, and soon your mouth (tongue? Throat?) will follow. Like when I debate, I listen to lots of Shelly's Brit accent, and I find myself sounding like her for the next few weeks. It wasn't intended.
Use English when you talk with your friends. That would help with your fluency.
But again, I can't guarantee that you'll sound like one after practising a lot.
