(another anon) I've been on tumblr for a good 5 years now and I've noticed that the people you follow really affects how you look at tumblr. Whenever I see someone talking about drama I never see it on my dash (probably bc I follow less than 100 blogs)

it's definitely true i have a new blog following 20 people or so it's completely a breath of fresh air
but i had mutuals who were increasingly becoming more negative/indifferent over the course of me following them i mean people change n oh man unfollowing anxiety is the real deal esp if it's someone u talked w before even tho the content they reblog/make bothers me.......i mean personally aggression n pessimism doesn't sit too well w me
so i catch wind of drama. not a whole lot but some enough to be upset abt how out of proportion or overblown things can turn out. avoided jin stans like the plague bc many were too bitter, found solace in being bitter amongst each other, then the bitterness increased exponentially. not exactly my cup of tea

tbh i totally feel you about tumblr not being fun anymore. i got sick of the competition and shade too so i had to close my blog b4 i started disliking bts. anyways i hope you're doing well! i just wanted to vent a little aha

i dunno it didn't used to be like this but the way tumblr is structured is atrocious bc then we have ppl being hotheaded....negative......creating drama out of the littlest things.... pointing fingers for the sake of notes/gaining mutuals/getting more anons etc at some point i realized /certain/ ppl weren't jst abt promoting/protecting their faves anymore they developed an insecurity fueled superiority complex n complained for the attention
but again it's social media.....rampant comparisons are to be expected the mentality is to pit x against y we cant all be epitomes of optimism like jin
oh the fandom........the kboos the youtuber residents the immature ones the ones w saline solution running thru their veins i get u i love the group i truly do bUT THIS

hmmmmm perhaps...well p much yes it was the breaking point where i felt like wow tumblr just isn't fun environment to be in anymore it's static it's judgmental it's a place where there is constant drama constantly people complaining constantly shading the fuck out of others and bandwagoning and thriving on this unspoken hierarchy where NEGATIVITY REIGNS and i p much started my blog to laugh at stuff not for this animal kingdom scene ripped outta mean girls
so i wanted out. also im reaching the point of my life where i have to think about the direction i'm going future career options etc etc instead all day everyday bts
jin stans being salty ho hum they have the right to be because personally i'm very bitter about the lack of attention he gets like it hurts it really hurts. but going overboard and being vitriolic isn't effective logically it's only going to cause a schism in the fandom and the thing i despise the most are those that solely stan one member of the group which is something i feel a few jin stans are teetering towards. maybe the thing is to help start a project that compliments jin's achievements like recruit certain fanartists to draw something related to eat jin bc i've been on twitter and wow there is a drought of jin centric fanart and i'm pretty sure twitter is the platform that jin creeps through often (u know he checks sometimes for his defilter challenges).....instead of reblogging text posts maybe oversaturate tumblr with highlights of how amazing jin is like i was scrolling thru twitter earlier and there was a kfan who uploaded all the jin cuts from now3 (forehead!jin, jin doing aegyo, etc etc u name it) like someone could've taken the initiative to repost all that it doesn't hurt?? i don't want this whole debacle to turn into some kinda giant pity party for jin bc we've gone over this MANY MANY times i want him to gain positive exposure a motherfucking celebration of everything he's ever done and shove that in everyone's faces EVERYDAY instead of shading whining etc etc
