In your new vid, you say you prefer arguments that are backed by science + strong study designs, but this fails to address ways in which science ignores + pathologizes certain groups. Research funding is so skewed, + will be even moreso under Trump! Lived experiences shouldn't be discounted, IMO.

sure, i don't think anybody is saying personal experience should be discounted. but "because i said so" isn't an argument.

In your video, you said animals don't have "men" and "women" implying they are gender terms if I'm not mistaken? If gender is about masculinity and femininity, that means being a man or woman is dependent on adhering to those behaviors. Therefore there's no such thing as a "masculine woman".

another possible interpretation: it could also mean that being a man or woman is *independent* of adhering to masc/fem behaviors.

Your most recent video showed me something: A problem with the current debate scheme is the format itself. A lot of it is done online on twitter and sites like that where there's a character limit. As a result, people can't say everything they need to or must sacrifice important info for space.

definitely. the platforms are super flawed. but they aren't goin away lol.

I see the term as self-identifying, so I do not believe you have to be a Black woman to be a womanist. From what authority does that requirement stem?

eh, just my feeling. it's by and for woc. not my place or space.

I was hoping to get some advice. I had a falling out with my BF during the election, she called me a lot of hurtful names because I voted Trump. She messaged me last night apologizing and saying she regretted the things she said. Should I try to repair the friendship? I'm afraid of another fall out.

it's up to you obviously, but i would try! friendships are precious and life is short.

I understand right now you're on a 'critiquing sjw' binge, but having some objectivity might be useful- many people in the 'anti-sjw' sphere do the exact same thing to people who disagree with them, like with Spinosaurus, Creationist Cat, and Shives (prior to him going off the deep end bc of it)

totally. i would never insinuate otherwise. but my experience is that antis have been open to discussing how they carry out the dialogue, while sjws aren't.

I'm in the middle of a move right now and it's had really me down especially since this a new experience for me. What are some ways to come to terms with everything?

the times i've moved, the things that made me feel most at home were finding my new *spots*. finding my new coffee shop or breakfast joint, or grocery, or taco stand can go a long way to feeling more at home. also putting yourself out there to make new friends! either at school or work, or something like meetup.com. good luck settling in <3

Can you teach us how to make sex positive crafts like, those condom fairy wings, from way back?

that could be fun! i have a bunch of crafty stuff up my sleeve. also practical stuff. like how to make lube. trying to figure out easier videos to make between the longer ones.
