What small gesture from a stranger made a big impact on you?

The last time I went here, a few months ago, I didn't notice the bus timetables had changed so faced a huge walk (more than 5 miles on top of a day's walking) or several hours wait, when someone gave me a lift.

He didn't have to do that and I knew he would be mortally offended by being offered money, and of course I had none anyway, so I lit a candle and prayed for someone to help this person as he helped me.
Another time, I was stuck in a very remote part of Wales

When my dad's car almost ran out of petrol as we'd miscalculated the amount we need (it gave a distance in miles but that was only for flat land, so on hills the petrol almost ran out driving less than the distance we thought we had) and some people directed us to the petrol station, without which we've broken down.
Again, nothing in it for them but they did it because it was in their hearts to do so.

I have 4 pairs of shoes.
Boots
Trainers which are strong and can be walked in
Smart-casual shoes but which are uncomfortable but which I wear on nights out etc
Work shoes
I don't actually like any of them as such, they're just there so as not to get blisters?

Swimming pool, river, lake, sea, ocean - where do you prefer to swim?

Lakes or rivers are best for me, then seas, I don't much like pools but it can be good if there's nowhere else to swim as water is good.
Have you read the book Waterlog by Roger Deakin if you like outdoor swimming? I highly recommend it.
The place I go to in the Highlands of Scotland is so remote it has no mains water, so obviously no showers! We bathe here, downstream of the place we get drinking water from obvs :)

Not in career terms. My goal is to do as much for the planet as possible so I'm looking forward to https://treesforlife.org.uk/volunteer/conservation-weeks/accommodation/athnamulloch-cottage/
This is me and my brothers and sisters in arms, returning froma day's work on the hillside. If I were some businessman working 90 hours a week, or a lawyer, how could I possibly feel as rich as I did when I surveyed the wealth around me that day in the Highlands?

It was Mission Burrito in Birmingham, which me and my girlfriend enjoyed a nice trip to. They did 3 kinds of meat, 2 kinds of vegetarian and a guest. But the bleeders closed down!?

How often do you have to charge your phone?

I get it to 100% each day, I'd say I might be able to go two days before running out but I never take that chance since in December 2016 I was taking to my girlfriend when my phone (a very bad one that I lost a few months later, so replacing it was a blessing in disguise) chose to die out.
I darted home and got a load of enraged messages about how she hated me and never wanted to see me again and couldn't believe I had put the phone down on her!?
Eventually we recconciled but a lesson was learned. So with the old phone I literally carried plugs round with me as it often ran out, then once I lost the old phone I got a new one and never looked back! It's on 96% now so I'm dicing with death :)

I don't think so!
Our ancestors evolved to only eat sugars on very rare occasions when they harvested a lot of fruit, and we now have more sugars each day than people 2000 years ago- who were biologically almost indistinguishable from us- had in a week.
But I am now in the habit and my frame has grown taller than an ancient man, and I've already outlived most people in those days, so I need my sugars (most of which come from fruit rather than processing, but still).

Do you enjoy travelling on a ferry?

Yes! Haven't been on one since a voyage to France in 2009 but I really enjoyed the motion of the sea and eventually sighting land, I think so anyway as it was some time ago!
I'd definitely be up for an expedition, so long as I only explore places and don't have to fight anyone?

I have a totally unexplained scar on my forehead, a place where random marks often appear and I have no idea why?
