"My teacher HAS added another layer TO our pile of HOMEWORK."

"My teacher" is singular, so it should be "has"; "homework" is considered a mass noun, so it's never "homeworks." You could also change "on" to "on top of" (but you don't have to).

Generally, "house" refers to the building. In America, a "house" is a family building that is detached and separate.

Since they just met, "It's too early ..." works better. If more time had passed (e.g., they had known each other for a month), both would be fine.
