Do you think taking away eyeglasses is a good punishment for kids?

gosh no, that would be a terrible punishment ):

I need my glasses for a reason. I can't see more than maybe,,,,,two feet away from my face without them? I can't even see my desktop screen from where I'm sitting at my desk 0:

I imagine that taking away sight from a child could have dire consequences in their academic lives. it would impact their learning. it would impact their social life, too. and what if they got hurt because they tripped over something they couldn't see? it just seems cruel.

glasses shouldn't be a privilege, sight is a basic function of the human body. disabling your child for doing something wrong is abusive behavior

my mom took my dad's surname when they got married, so we all have the same last name <:

I really want to change mine to my mom's maiden name, though. it's two words instead of one which is super cool !!!

it depends on where you live, but there are a number of organizations that provide temporary housing / safe havens and support for victims of abuse and domestic violence. the website above is very, very helpful for locating these! you can also search online using your state or zip code

if that isn't an option, don't be afraid to ask family or friends for assistance. someone out there will be willing to help you. just be wary of strangers who might take advantage of you when you're vulnerable

I don't think I'll ever change my beliefs, but our beliefs can certainly coexist.

I'd respect their religion because I know it's important to them. I would never ask someone to "convert" to be with me.

I'd also participate in any religious holidays they celebrate because I want them to see that I care about them and their interests, even if I don't necessarily believe in those things. it's like how I still celebrate christmas and easter without being a christian,,,,,or how I celebrate hanukkah with my jewish friends and family.

never. littering is one of my biggest pet peeves 👀

it actually bothers me a lot when people litter. like they can't hold onto their trash or put it in a pocket for a few minutes until they find a trash can????

I care a lot about nature so seeing people ruining it is upsetting.

I was far too young to remember,,,,,,,,but we had something similar in my orchestra?

we had to wear black and white outfits for concerts. it was easy to grab socks that appeared to be black at home, only to find out that they were actually navy blue in the different lighting at the school.

my teachers would either make us cover them with other clothes or have us take them off before going on stage.

it happened to me a few times when I was in a hurry, but I was able to cover them with my dress okay. sometimes the people dress-coding us wouldn't even notice or would just let it pass

I don't answer every question I get <:

I'll pass if I can't understand a question or straight up just don't like it. my inbox is full of questions like this that I've never answered.

I also get a lot of nsfw questions,,,,,,I try to keep this account fairly sfw so those are hard skips.

but that's not to say that I only skip bad questions!! there's a lot of great questions that I have trouble answering, too. I also let those sit so I can think about them because I want to give decent responses 💜
