Did you ever see the movie "Giraffada"? If yes, what's your opinion about it? I am wondering, why it's not possible to watch it in Germany.

I've heard about it, but I haven't seen it. But you made me curious, I will check it out.

What is your favorite instrument?

Very hard to choose one, but the one that feels closest to the soul is the Oud. When I play it, I can just keep playing taqaseem, while my mind travels freely.

If you could change something in the curriculum for Palestinian school kids, what would you change?

I would make sure it is full of awareness of the Nakba and the Right of Return, and that Palestinian folklore and traditions are well-represented.

Are you visiting Palestine often? (How often)? And what is your favorite area in Palestine?

Yes, I try to visit every year, which is only possible thanks to my Dutch passport. My favorite areas are Illar (my home village) near Tulkarm, and other favorites are Nablus and Al Quds (Jerusalem).

Where are you from and where are you living now?

I'm Palestinian, although I was born in the Netherlands. Five years ago, I emigrated to the UAE, which is where I live now.

Are u gonna keep making music? For how long, u think?

Interesting question. Not for a terribly long time, I suspect. I've more or less retired from performing, but as for songwriting and studio recording, that may go on for a while yet.
