my knowledge about sikhi is muddled up, its like i know about of everything but only a bit and i feel as if im going to be judged upon, so where do i start first to keep building my knowledge up?

Would recommend you start with our 'Japji Sahib' or '12 Weeks, 12 Gurus' playlist.

VJKK VJKF! Hanji you can read Bani and do Ardaas for them...

Since Guru Angad Dev Ji made the punjabi language does that mean that Guru Nanak Dev Ji's bani was in a different language before?

Guru Nanak Dev Ji introduced the Gurmukhi alphabet which is explained with deeper meanings in the Patti Likhi Bani. Guru Angad Dev Ji formalized the Gurmukhi alphabet which became the medium of writing the Punjabi language.

In anand kaaraj is it ok to invite friends that aren't Sikhs. (Ex. I'm getting married and my close friends are Filipino are they allowed to come

Yes - everyone is allowed in Gurdwara. Remember it's not their Anand Karaj they're coming to 'view'.

Jagraj ji says that we should "turn kaam into naam". How do we do this? Please give some examples or more information on the steps. Vaheguru!

Kaam doesn't just mean sexual desires but rather any sort of desires. Guru Sahib tells us, 'Ego is opposed to the Name of the Lord; the two do not dwell in the same place' - when we have ego we have desires.
So we should get rid of our desires and turn it into Nishkaam Naam which means no desire for reward just praise Vaheguru with no desire at all.

I did Rehraas Sahib in shorts today because it was really hot but felt guilty about it after. Would you regard this as "inapproriate clothing" when doing Patt

It depends on the person, some people accept it and for others they prefer the length they are used to reading. If it doesn't feel right then you know what you need to do.

WJKK WJKF I exam today and I failed,I done allot of revision for it.I done Ardas to guru Ji asking for kirpa to pass. What does this mean??

VJKK VJKF! We can't always blame Guru as Maharaj says - 'Apan Hatte Apna Ape Hi Kaaj Savarie' which means with our own hands, let us resolve our own affairs.
Maybe you're just not good at the subject. If you can then prepare more next time.

Awkward question: is it ok to recite bani silently while in the lavatory or is it considered disrespectful/beadbi?

Gurabani is beyond limits - you can read Bani that you have remembered but certainly not from a Gutka Sahib.

Is rakhri allowed as per Gurmat? Can we replace it with anything so brothers don't get offended if we suddenly stop sending rakhri?

Give a Kara instead if you want but a women can protect herself that's why Guru Sahib has blessed us with a Kirpan.

What is the best thing to do when you have done something bad in terms of sikhi? Eg ardas or something along this lines

Ardaas with a pure heart and truly asking for forgiveness, take a Hukamnama afterwards.

Is the 12 week course the actual main part of what we should know about sikhi and be questioned upon? and also feel confident about?

The WhyGuru Course is sort of the minimum we should all aim to learn.

I am finally waking up earlier in the mornings, but by 2pm I'm usually so tired I feel like nodding off to sleep (which I can't really do since I'm at work). Any tips to help? Right now it's coffee that's sustaining me!

Try having a nap after your morning Nitnem, and a powernap during the day would give you a real boost. Other than that it may take time to get used to the routine.

Thank you for answering, I was actually wondering what should be one before taking the online hukam. Should we do full Ardas, recite Mool Mantar? What is the proper procedure? Also, can you take a Hukamnama for another person (for example if I want to take one for my friend)? VJKK VJKF

VJKK VJKF. Best thing to do is to read some Bani (any), then do Ardaas (best to do full) and then ask Maharaj to bless you with a Hukamnama. You can also take a Hukamnama at any time but that's the proper procedure. Remember we have to take the Hukamnama seriously no matter what it says we have to accept that as Guru's order.
You can take Hukamnama for others too. Would advise not to take too many as then you wont take it seriously.

hi I have an inquiry. I am currently 23 years old and my pehra ate trying to convince me to get married. but I don't want to get married and probably never want to get married. Is that wrong according to Sikh culture and practice??

Its best to get married as Grisit (family) life is the highest in Kaljug. Its harder to control Kaam without getting married but however you don't have to and can remain celibate.
