How does a Sikh pray as an individual at home with no Guru Granth Sahib ? Is it a case of reading a set piece of bani (Jap ji Sahib for example) followed by an Ardas?

Use a Gutka Sahib.

I have a problem I want to go into sikhi and I started to listen to kirtan and do my path because I want to get amritshak soon but the problem is ever time I talk to my cousins, I end up listening to songs and going back to how I was before what should I do?

Stay away from your cousins for now, get into Sikhi, stay away from songs and grow your roots until you are much stronger, have taken amrit and know at least your Japji Sahib, rehraas sahib and kirtan sohila memorised and then you'll be strong enough to suffer the winds of occasional bad company

SWJKK SWJKF. My dadi ji has been given just a few hours to live. Please can you refer me to a shabad which talks about death in a positive way, i.e rejoining waheguru. Thank you x

VJKK VJKF! Vaheguroo..

How can one learn to look at the opposite gender as sister/brother instead of in a lustful way?

We should remember what Bhai Gurdaas Ji taught us:
dhaekh paraaeeaaa(n) cha(n)geeaaa(n) maavaa(n) bhainaa dhheeaaa(n) jaanai||
The Sikh ought to treat beautiful women of others as his mothers, sisters and daughters.
We can put this in practise by when seeing a bibi/bhaji younger than us we should see a daughter/son relationship.
If they are the same age then we see sister/brother.
If they are older then Mother/Father.

Why has Diwali changed to bandi chor now when back in the day it was called Diwali. Isn't this just a trait of discriminating between Hindus and Sikhs. There is no harm in saying Diwali is there?

Hindus celebrate Diwali in honour of Lakshmi and the return of Rama and Sita. Sikhs do not celebrate it for this reason - it is called Bandi Chorr Diwas as Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji released 52 princes along with him from prison.
