Hey Ola! Was the band Death ever an inspiration to you? I really want to know because Death and Feared are my 2 favorite bands!

Kacperpacholak’s Profile PhotoKacper Pacholak
Actually Death they're not an influence of mine. Their music never really appealed to me back in the day and it wasn't until lately that I started listening to them.
I understand their greatness but I never was a fan. Symbolic is a strong album.

Ola, there's no doubt that you and Keith Merrow are the #1 guitarists in the world to me! :D Why won't you too be in a band together?

Zeddyx’s Profile PhotoZed Andijani
Cause we live an ocean apart! We both have our lives and bands but here and there we manage to do something together. I actually think we can create more mayhem on our separate ways. Everything Keith does puts me on edge and makes me want to write better music. I have such a mad respect for him and what he does.

Hi Ola,I wanted to ask you athing.I really want to be famous but not because I want money, fame or else,I want it so bad cause it will make possible to be someone without losing his humble attitude live thanks to music and I want to let everybody know what it makes me feel. Can I make it with YT vids?

Sounds like a complicated reason to want to be famous. I think if you want to get "famous" (and to be honest I have no idea what it takes to be famous) just stay true to- and be yourself. A fake image shines through very quick and in the end you're not doing yourself a favor. So just be yourself. If it's something I really admire it's when people have clear goals with their lives and a good heart.
And YouTube is a good way to show yourself if you want to. But I'm still not sure what you want here? Not even sure I answered the question. Not even sure I remember the question haha

I see you did a Juggernaut demo with a Gibson EXP 7 string.... I have a Gibson V 7 that I am having difficulties getting to hold intonation with an AEADGBE tuning... how did you get that explorer to hold perfect tuning with that 24.5" scale?

Geramy
I used a 064 for the lowest string and even tuned it down a half step(drop A) and it worked great! Kent uses that explorer as his main guitar in Feared and he's rocking it!

The song "Invisible" is one of your earliests works and it definitedly is different from any other song you have made, though there are more mellow songs like A Regret o Bullied, this one doesn't seem to have such a darker vibe from the other stuff you usually do. How did you come up with that song?

I have to be honest, those songs were made back in the day when I hadn't really locked down the focus of the band. I experimented a lot since to see if we could make songs like that. I don't regret(pun?) making any of those songs though, they still have a "Feared" vibe to them. Especially lyric-wise.

Hi ola :) You seem to have an agreable life style and sometimes I think that people like you are living a sort of dream. I also know that sweden provides a lot of facilitations to its citiziens, in order to let them pay less taxes and stuffs like that. How is it to work as a musician in sweden ?

UomoSchizoideDelVentunesimoSecolo’s Profile PhotoMarco Messina
I do live my own dream, but it's not thanks to any facilitations or "help", it's because I work my ass off. I've been brought up of not relying on anyone or anything else to help you out in life. You go out there and you earn it for yourself. We pay a lot of taxes in Sweden to be able to have facilitations for people who are unable to work, and I'm totally fine with that. I'm fit for work so I'm working! I have a pride in that.
Not making enough money? Work harder or concentrate on the things that you actually earn money from. I don't consider being a musician being anything different from my day job I had before. You get up, get your ass to work and get shit done!

What's your thoughts on Avenged Sevenfold, particularly with Synyster Gates? ..which is also a Seymour Duncan and Schecter artist. Their new album sounds like Metallica Black Album vibes which is I think good.

AdrianAzurin’s Profile PhotoAdrian Azurin
Personally I haven't listened that much to them, that's just me being lazy listening to new music. I've heard 1 or 2 new songs and I think they are catchy, and I definitely see the resemblance with the Black Album. It's definitely not a ripoff so it don't see any harm in that, I mean the songs are good! From the little I've heard of Synyster I can definitely say that he's a kick ass guitar player!
They were just in town a couple of days ago, I had to stay home and take care of my son while my wife went to watch them. She digs them lot!

"wat gud gitar 4 djent? wat string gajes? wat pups?" DON'T YOU JUST GET TIRED OF THAT SHIT? I sure do. I see that shit on every musician forum I frequent.

ZEBOV’s Profile PhotoNeal Thomas
Well we're all starting somewhere, and I've always thought that it's important to support upcoming musicians in every way I can. If people ask me for advice I'll definitely do what I can to help cause I know how much it means. I've BEEN that guy asking for help.

I wanna learn "warbound" but I couldnt find any tab :( where can I find your tabs?

AmiraliMoezzi’s Profile PhotoAmirali Moezzi
Sorry I don't do tabs for my songs at all. I don't know how to work Guitar Pro, but maybe some kind soul might want to do it. I think there are some tabs over at ultimate-guitar.com

How do you feel about TS9 mods? Do they make much of a difference? If so, do you know the best place to obtain the kits?

Oldd_Gregg’s Profile PhotoCorey Reeder
I haven't tried too many modded ts but I've never thought the standard ODs have been insufficient. So I've never bothered having one modded...
