Hi, Marketa (and all the band :) )..I don't know much your country, so I was wondering how is metal considered in Czech Republic, is it easy for bands to practice and organize gigs, how public reacts, how are relations between bands, and all this sort of things :)
In the Czech Republic metal isn't mainstream at all, it's not like in Finland for example. The mainstream here is mostly the pop music and also public takes it that way. They called us underground music. There are few TVs and radios that support rock music but its the minority.
And how is the underground scene? Well, overloaded, but we think it is the good thing. There are hundreds bands, which means the huge competitive environment but also the huge possibility to cooperate with each other and support each other. Then it depends on the nature of every person/band - how they act to other bands, what they choose - cooperation or fight. We prefer the first option :D
And about organizing gigs, it's the same thing - people don't go to concerts much these days and there are about 2 rock events to every day in the weekend, so it's very risky to organize something and bands solve it by exchanges for example, which is also very good way to cooperate.

I am curious, when you write lyrics, do you write directly in English, or do you work it in Czech first and then translate?
Mostly I write in English directly but I also use the rhyme dictionary or the Czech-English dictionary when I want to use some particular word I don't know in English. :)

Was wondering where you get inspiration for your song writing process . Do you always follow the same process ... Or does everyone in the band have a part in the writing process ?
We finish song itself together as a band but with the first ideas or also whole songs comes Radek or our external member Filip Hrazdira. Other members then add their ideas, change their parts if its possible, or leave it like it is only with few individual changes.

HI ... Love the name Alia Tempora ... just wanted to ask if there was a meaning to the band name ?
Hi there,
the Alia Tempora means Other/Another/Different Times. The meaning is quite subjective but we take it as a link of the old and the new - world, style, music... We live in the world where everything needs its inclusion and we wanted to be somehow above it, just do music as we feel it, experiment and don't care about the categorization.

We will introduce our new drummer really soon, we just need to spend some time with him before we do that. :) But for now we can say he is really nice and he is an awesome drummer. ;)

Jak to vypadá s novým bicmanem, kdy nám ho konečně představíte? :P
S novym bicmanem to vypada skvele, nasli jsme super clena do party, ktery je navic uzasny bubenik, takze uz se moc tesime na spolupraci s nim :) A predstavime jej brzo, jen potrebujeme chvilku casu, abychom si ho uzili nejdriv sami :P

We will probably not visit the USA with the band in next few years, but it is possible that you will meet me and our external member Filip in the California this summer on our personal USA trip. :)

:D Už jsem, se bála, že tahle otázka nepřijde :D :) Hodně lidí řeší, proč česká kapela nehraje česky a my jejich argumenty chápeme a bereme, jen jsme se rozhodli jít svou cestou.
Důvody jsou třeba ty, že se nám čeština v metalu moc nelíbí, přijde nám dost složité napsat český text, který zní dobře, většinou se z toho vyklube kýč. V angličtině je to mnohem jednodušší, protože většina slov prostě zní hezky :D
No a pak taky proto, že se hodně orientujeme na zahraniční fanoušky a angličtina je univerzální jazyk, takže naše texty můžou oslovit více lidí.

Proč Aleš skončil s kapele? Měli jste nějaké problémy?
Problémy jsme měli leda jako jakákoliv jiná kapela, nic světoborného, byli jsme skvělá parta a rozhodně by nikdo z nás žádného člena neměnil, všichni jsme si to obrečeli. :(

Jé, tak u nás je to jasnačka - Delain! :D Nejen proto, že jsou naši miláčci a mají úžasnou hudbu, show, image, ale taky proto, že jsou to strašně super lidi! :)

What Age Did Markéta Morávková Start Wanna Sing In Metal Band?
You probably did not expect this answer, but it was when the Alia Tempora started... :D I always wanted to be the kickass guitarist but it didn't work (obviously :D ) and I were also singing in some choirs my whole life, but my first idea of being the SOLO singer in ANY band was when we created Alia in my 20-21 years :D :)
